Prayer Book from the Museum of Bohemian Paradise in Turnov

In 2024, the Museum of Bohemian Paradise in Turnov provided access to a prayer book from the 18th century (shelfmark R 106). In addition to the usual prayers for Mass, confession and communion, the Czech-language manuscript contains an extensive section devoted to saints, including the patron saints of the Czech lands. At the beginning, it has an engraving of the miraculous statuette of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Svatá Hora near Příbram.

Manuscriptorium

Manuscriptorium is an international digital library run by the National Library of the Czech Republic. Within long-term projects, a virtual research environment is being developed providing access to digital documents in the sphere of written cultural heritage deposited in memory institutions worldwide (manuscripts, incunabula, early printed books, historical maps, and others).

These documents are now available in a digital library united interface together with special tools and the virtual environment context.
