Cosmography from the Exposition of the Library of the Latin School in Jáchymov

The Cosmography of Claudius Ptolemy was digitized from the collection of books of the Latin School in Jáchymov in 2025. The incunable was printed in Ulm in 1486 by Johann Reger for the publisher Justus de Albano. The edition also contains 32 woodcut map plates, which have been coloured in this copy; the initials have a simple colour decoration as well. Manuscript marginalia show the use of printing in the 16th century. The book was donated to the Jáchymov library in 1580 by Jiří Hohreuter.
