Modern Manuscripts from the Regional Museum in Louny

The Regional Museum in Louny has made five more manuscripts from the last quarter of the 18th to the middle of the 19th century available online from its collections in 2025. Most of them are prayer books (three in Czech and one in German), there is also a copy of a medical work Vysvětlení onich mocných, užitečných a hojitedlných distilovaných olejův (shelfmark S 4919).

Manuscriptorium

Manuscriptorium is an international digital library run by the National Library of the Czech Republic. Within long-term projects, a virtual research environment is being developed providing access to digital documents in the sphere of written cultural heritage deposited in memory institutions worldwide (manuscripts, incunabula, early printed books, historical maps, and others).

These documents are now available in a digital library united interface together with special tools and the virtual environment context.
